3 HOURS IN AMSTERDAM

Během mýho návratu zpátky do Skotska jsem využila mezery mezi lety v Amsterdamu, kde jsem předtím ještě nikdy nebyla. Nebyla jsem si sice jistá, jestli mám dost času, ale rozhodla jsem se to risknout. Kufr jsem si hodila do úschovny, peněženku a mobil nacpala do kapes a foťák jako správnej turista pověsila na krk. Nasedla jsem na autobus směřující do centra a překvapivě se mi podařilo vystoupit přesně tam, kde jsem chtěla, tedy u nápisu "Amsterdam", kterej snad ani nejde neznat. Jelikož už se stmívalo, usoudila jsem, že to je skvělá příležitost k tomu, podívat se do proslavenýho Red light districtu, protože, ok nebudu vám lhát, chtěla jsem vidět prostitutky vystavující se ve výlohách. Procházkou přes spletité kanály jsem se dostala do cíle. No co k tomu říct, nijak pobouřená ani znechucená jsem nebyla a žádný trauma jsem si taky neodnesla. Nevím, jestli je to dobře nebo špatně, v jiných ohledech jsem hodně citlivá, ale v tomhle případě si říkám, že ty holky (ženský) musí moc době vědět, co dělají a já nemám právo je soudit, aniž bych je znala. Taky jsem si všimla, že celým Red light distriktem proudí buď skupiny mužů, nebo zamilovaný páru...a taky já, zvědavá holka s foťákem na krku a vzduchem se šířila vůně trávy. Každopádně se do Amsterdamu plánuju vrátit a pořádně si ho užít i za denního světla.
//I took advantage of the gap between the flights on my way back to Scotland and spent few hours in Amsterdam where I had never been before. I wasn't completely sure if I had enough time, but i decided to take a little risk and set to the city. I put my suitcase to a baggage storage, tucked my phone and wallet to pockets of my jacket and hang a camera around my neck. I took a bus going to the city centre and to my big surprise managed to get off where I had planned to, thus next to the "Amsterdam" sign. Since It started to getting dark, I assumed that it was a great opportunity for taking a walk to well-known Red light district and yeah, of course I wanted to see those prostitutes exposing themselves in windows. Walking along canals, I made it to the Red light district. Well, what should I say...I wasn't outraged, neither disgusted and didn't suffer any shock. I'm not sure whether it is good or not, I'm normally  very sensitive, but in this case I just think that those girls (women)  know what they are doing and I have basically no right to judge them without knowing anything about them. I also noticed that whole Red light district was full of men and I occasionally spotted some couples. And then there was me....curious girl with a camera around her neck. By the way, you can smell weed everywhere. Anyway, I definitely need to come back to see the city in the daylight as well. :)
